Product description

Welcome, my friends to ELYSIUM!

Can you and your comrades win the war and claim Elysium as your own!

Part of our Legends event meaning the winners will be added to our Elysium Elite wall with your name forever carved into the walls!

How it works

Gather your self and two other generals

Choose to fight for Good or evil (locks all 3 of you into that faction)

Choose Three different factions where no profiles can betaken in more than one army

Battle across 3 different types of tables "Outskirts" "The approach" and "The Fortress"

add each of your points up and then your opponents to workout who won the war!

Win 3 Wars and Become the Victors

Army lists

Each player must take an army from either good or evil but your team cannot mix between sides. so if one of you takes Moira then you all must take evil!

each army must be up to but no more than 650 points.

you cannot take the same army more than once per team and you cannot duplicate any profiles between players

  • All models must be WYSIWYG
  • Each player on a team must have a different army
  • Once a player has taken a profile another player on that team cannot take it
  • Only one player per team can take 1+ wizards
  • Only one player per team can take 1+ monsters
  • Only one army from a team can have over 30 models in it

Gaming Tables layouts

Each Round your team will play on a particular battlefield that will be mirrored over all 3 tables for this round they will be

Rohan/Mirkwood/Dol guldur/ Erebor/ Osgiliath

each battlefield will have 3 table themes them been

"Outskirts" - Small camps/ruins/woods

"The approach" - bigger camps/buildings/ruins/woods/rocks/hills

"The Fortress" - Walls/keep/buildings/ large los blockers and more dense

this will feel like the battle is taking place over 3 locations but are linked.

Pairings

When you are paired into another team you will have a pairing process to determine who's playing who on what mission and what map

How it works

Both teams roll a dice and the winner is the attacker and the loser is the defender

Both teams remove 1 mission from the 5 missions in the pool leaving 3 remaining

The defender then places one army forward face up (Player D1)

The attacker places 2 armies to face player D1 face up(These 2 armies are assigned A1 and A2)

Then Attackers place there remaining Army down Face up (Player A3)

Then Defenders place D2 and D3 to face A3

D1 picks to play vs either A1 OR A2 This Makes Match 1

A3 packs to play vs D2 or D3 This Makes Match 2

Then the 2 unpicked armies play This makes Match 3

Now Match1 Attacker gets to choose the board and the mission (from the pool that round)

Now Match2 Defender gets to choose the board and mission(from the pool that round)

and Finally Match3 is given the remaining Board and mission

Games/Rounds/scoring

Round 1 will begin at 10am

Rounds with pairings will last 3hours

Teams will play a total of 3 rounds with each player playing 3 games.

Rounds wont be won or loss based on who won the most games but on which team scores the most VP after all you can win small battles but its the War that counts.

How it will work

You will add your total VPs for you team each round to get your Round Score with adding some more VP as listed below

1 Game Won = +5VP

2 Games Won = +8VP

3 Games Won = +10VP

After all scores are added if your total VP is more than a difference of 10 compared to your opponents total score you win the round Resulting in a Win for placement in the event with Total VP been second If the score is within 10 of each other then that round is a draw.

A round win Grants you 3TP

a Draw grants you both 1TP

and a loss grants you 0TP

At the end of the event the team with the most TP will win in the result of a tie in TP then the decider will be total VP if that is a tie then head to head record if Applicable then SOS

Painting

Armies do not need to be painted but if all 3 are painted with in a team your team will be rewarded with 1TP

Submission of Army Lists:

All army lists should be submitted for checking one week before the event if you submit in time you receive +1tp for the event. Errors found during the event that cannot be immediately rectified, or that have led to an in-game advantage will award -1TP per game that the error has affected.

Coaching/Team help

During games you can check on your team but not interfere with the game you can tell them if you won or lost and how many points you scored but you cannot comment on there game or help them in any way. You can ask for players scores when you want and results also.

Proxies, Conversions and Painting:

Conversions are an excellent way to show off your modelling skills and are very much encouraged. Proxies are allowed, within reason, as long as they are an appropriate representation of the models, they stand for at the discretion of the TOs. The main caveat here is to make it noticeably clear to your opponent what models they are fighting against, if it isn’t clear, it won’t be OKed.

Please email us at geekkingsclub@gmail.com if you want anything to be looked at before the event.

Sportsmanship, Rules queries and legal publications:

Whilst this is a tournament, the objective is for everyone to have a great time! Players are always expected to  behave in a civil and respectful manner to one another and generally treat each other as they would like to be  treated. Players are given a single warning when their behaviour toward other players is considered  unacceptable. If the behaviour persists, the player may be

disqualified. There is zero tolerance for cheating.  Players found to be cheating will be immediately disqualified.

Players are encouraged to work out simple rules queries themselves. TOs are the sole authority at the event  and will be entirely impartial in their adjudication of any rule’s disputes. Remember, if a TO is required to  intervene, the TOs ruling is final.
